“Sandwich for sandwich” is Even Stevens’ motto. No, the Utah-based fast casual wasn’t titled after the 2000s Disney Channel show of the same name. It was instead named by entrepreneur and founder Steve Down and based on the restaurant’s “eat to give” philanthropic mission. “For every sandwich sold in our shops, we donate a sandwich to a local nonprofit partner in the neighborhood where we are doing business,” says Michael McHenry, president of Even Stevens.

It will be called “Steve’s Hotel.

The first four-star hotel is being built in McMinnville, Oregon, located between Salem and Portland.

For every room booked, Steve’s Hotel will provide a homeless person a reimbursement for a bed in a clean, safe, comfortable environment.

To say Even Stevens’ sandwiches are good is an understatement. Couple that good food with a conscience and a mission of changing their community, and you have something great. For every sandwich sold at Even Stevens, another is donated to a local non-profit helping to end hunger in the community. But the company is so much more than that, and they are not afraid to dream big. They hope to grow beyond Utah’s borders and bring their take on giving back, to the masses.
