CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME: A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Why is the Family So Important?
The family probably has the most important influence on a child’s life from the first encounter with the world and first emotions to unconsciously forming one’s own attitude and views. Since birth, our family influences our worldview and guides us toward rational decision-making, playing a big role in our development well into early adulthood. In an ideal world, a family is supposed to provide a safe, stable, and loving environment that will enable each member, especially children, to develop without limitations and in accordance with their potential.
The truth is that some of the fundamental family values are actually the bedrock of our society since a family is a small-scale reflection of society, in its structure, clearly defined roles and duties, rules, and responsibilities.
As someone who has been married for over 40 years and has seven children and 12 grandchildren, I have learned a thing or two about what it takes to be successful in life. Throughout my personal and professional journey, I have come to appreciate the importance of principles and values in shaping one’s character and achieving success.
Although it is not always easy to define authentic family values, as they frequently vary from one epoch to another, or from culture to culture, there is a general value system a family should provide. Being a good person, a productive member of society, and aware of your environment and other beings – these are the values acquired in healthy families. It is important to emphasize that these values are shared through unconditional family love. Simply put, a good family is a stable environment that provides security for an individual, which enables the person to fulfill the highest aspirations.
One of the most important values that I have instilled in my children is the value of hard work. From an early age, I taught my children the importance of setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I encouraged them to develop a strong work ethic and to persevere in the face of adversity. I believe that this value has been instrumental in helping my children achieve success in their own lives.
Another value that I have instilled in my family is the value of integrity. I believe that it is important to always do the right thing, even when it is difficult or unpopular. I have tried to lead by example in this regard, always being honest and transparent in my dealings with others. This value has been particularly important in my business ventures, where trust and credibility are critical to success.
In addition to hard work and integrity, I have also taught my children the importance of giving back. I have always believed that we have a responsibility to use our resources and abilities to make a positive impact in the world. This value has been at the core of my philanthropic work through the Goat Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting education and entrepreneurship in developing countries.
Principle Centered Life
Finally, I have always emphasized the importance of having a positive attitude and a growth mindset. I believe that success is not just about talent or intelligence, but also about the willingness to learn, grow, and adapt. I have encouraged my children to embrace challenges and view setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning.
All of these values have been integral to my success both in my personal life and in my business ventures. As the founder of FinanciallyFit, I have applied these principles to create a company that is dedicated to helping people achieve financial success through education and empowerment. By helping people develop a strong work ethic, cultivate integrity, give back to their communities, and maintain a positive attitude, we have been able to help thousands of people achieve financial freedom and security.
To sum these up, the values of hard work, integrity, giving back, and a positive attitude have been essential to my personal and professional success. By instilling these values in my family and applying them in my business ventures, I have been able to achieve great things and make a positive impact in the world. I am grateful for the blessings that I have received and look forward to continuing to live and work according to these principles for years to come.
